Our engineers have gained a strong reputation for our innovative approach to complex strengthening, repair and refurbishment projects. These have included design and supervision projects on some of the busiest sections of the UK’s highways and rail networks.
Once a defect has been identified, we use cutting-edge techniques to ascertain the structure’s required capacity (if not already known), before designing strengthening and repair measures to restore capacity to the desired level. Specific works might include parapet upgrades, underpinning, major concrete repairs, re-decking, re-waterproofing, steelwork repairs and Cathodic Protection application.
The proposed refurbishment works would ensure the safety and integrity of the structure for its remaining service life. The quality of the work is set to minimise future maintenance interventions in the interests of sustainability, reduce whole-life costs and future disruption.
